We are working with the UK Men's Shed Association to introduce Sheds to coraclemaking, in order to increase the volume of coracles being built and used, and hopefully secure the future of coraclemaking in the UK, which is under threat as listed in the Heritage Crafts Association's Red List of Endangered Crafts.

This course does NOT include introductory membership to The Coracle Society
Work along side boat builder and artist Clinton Chaloner to make your own personalised paddle. A course suitable for water enthusiasts, canoeists and coraclers you will use a single piece of cleft ash to craft a paddle suited to your needs.
You will learn:
- How to select suitable wood
- Split and cleave an ash blank
- Cut and shape
- Fine finish using traditional hand tools
The paddles created will be unique and of the highest quality
The price of £180 includes materials, use of tools and refreshments
