My son and i have just finished our second coracle. The first about three years ago was a heroic failure, too deep and round on the bottom.

The Society was saddened to learn today of the passing of former member Dick Mundy, who died on Saturday 13th February following an accident he was involved in. Many members will have known Dick through his involvement with the Bures Coracle Regatta, or his time as editor in the mid 2000s.
We send our condolences to his family.

These are my first attempts at making coracles from willow. The willow was cut on the Gwent levels. I have made two shapes, one round and one a more rectangular shape - they seem to have turned out quite well
