Membership of The Coracle Society is open to all who support our founding aims. Your membership fee helps us to run events such as the annual regatta at the AGM, support our members in events they hold or participate in, run the website and produce the Journal each autumn. It also helps with our support of the coracle fishermen, our heritage projects as well as informing the public about these ancient craft and their uses, preserving its ancestry and heritage for generations to come.
As a member you receive numerous benefits, including regular communications via email and post - including our annual spring newsletter and annual Journal, access to our archives and publicity support for any coracle-related activities you may participate in. Further benefits are detailed here
We have two membership tiers - Individual, or for couples, families and companies/organisations - Joint, Family or Associate. Our annual rates are below and our membership year runs 1st January - 31st December:
If you are attending a coraclemaking course, you may receive introductory membership to The Coracle Society as part of your course fee. Visit this page or ask your course organiser or tutor for details

When Major David Goddard retired from the British Army, he travelled to many parts of the world collecting water craft and founded the Exeter Maritime Museum which opened in 1969 and ran until 1997.

During the lockdown, there must have been a few twitchy coraclers when August Bank Holiday Monday came around. So when the annual Ironbridge Coracle Regatta returned last year, there was a sense of things getting back to normal. Like Christmas Day, it's a fixed date in the calendar.
