Celebrate the magic of the past at England’s Medieval Festival & participate in 'Boats on the Moat'

Set at the stunning historical setting of Herstmonceux Castle in Sussex, England’s Medieval Festival is a three day immersive experience held over the August bank holiday. This hugely popular annual event is the largest and most authentic of its kind in the UK. It’s a chance to step back in time and discover the wonder of the past.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2017, this unique weekend festival offers a very special blend of history and fun for young and old and a chance for thousands of re-enactors and enthusiast to come together and salute the past.

We invite the members of the Coracle Society to attend England’s Medieval Festival, and participate in 'Boats on the Moat'. We would like members to bring a coracle, paddle and buoyancy jacket, so that during the day you can offer festival visitors tuition about coracles and let them have-a-go in your boat on the castle moat.
