ALL aboard! The guys from Frome Men’s shed made an appearance at the Cheese Show earlier this month – showcasing their handmade, oar powered floatation device – the almighty coracle. It was made for a race which took place in July – after the Welsh Men’s Sheds Association threw down the gauntlet late last year.
2017 Welshpool Coracle Regatta/Canal and Food Event

The Welshpool coracle regatta returns for its third year in 2017, taking place on 22nd July 2017. It will feature open paddle sessions and a variety of races, catering for all - from the complete novice/beginner coracler through to experts
The Canal Wharf will be a hub of activity, with coracle racing (Individual and group relays), Free boat trips with the Heulwen Trust and Angling. Stalls will be located on the adjoining Church Street car park, with music throughout the day.
