The Society were invited to the 25th anniversary of England's Medieval Festival, at Herstmonceux Castle in Sussex over the August bank holiday. Members Dave Purvis and Euan Raffel made the trek from 't North to showcase to the visitors, exhibitors and organisers the art of coraclemaking and give people the opportunity to try their had at paddling a coracle on the Castle's moat.

The Society, along with our friends from the Teifi Coracle Netsmen Association and The Ironbridge Coracle Trust had a fantastic time at BBC Countryfile Live in August. The weather didn't start too promising - the show was halted for an hour whilst a thunderstorm passed on the Saturday. But the sun soon broke through and we had lots of interest from members of the public.

Coming this autumn, a new BBC series 'Britain Afloat' will include an episode about coracles. The production team spent time with coraclers in Ironbridge, as well as Carmarthen and Cilgerran. The episode will be the second in the series, which is currently scheduled to start on Saturday 30th September on BBC Two/BBC Two HD. It should also be available after first transmission via the BBC iPlayer.
