New look and improved website

We have recently made some enhancements to The Coracle Society website in order to better serve our visitors.

Firstly - and most obviously - the website has a new look. This has been designed to make it easier to use, whether on a computer or on another device such as a smartphone or tablet. The navigation has been improved so you can access almost every area of the website from the main navigation bar at the top, rather than having to go in to sections of the site previously.

New content has been added, such as a more detailed explanation on coracles and guides on both how to build a coracle (an Ironbridge coracle - many thanks to Terry Kenny for providing his expertise which was used to formulate this guide) and how to use a coracle - perfect for newcomers. We have also created a playlist on YouTube of videos that are related to coracling - this includes some excellent archive footage from British Pathé and a guide on how to paddle a coracle (again, many thanks to Terry Kenny for making this).

Some of the existing content has been rehomed to other sections of the website where it has a more in keeping with its related content. Again - the main navigation bar is the best place to get around the site, but you can always use the search feature available at the top of every page. Logging in to the site has been made quicker by placing the log in fields at the top of every page, along side the search bar.

We continue to work on the website, currently working on producing a guide to the different types of coracles which, we hope, will prove to be a great introductory resource. We also intend to create content related to fishing activities.

Please do let us know if you have any comments, suggestions or any content that you feel we should include and we hope you will continue to find the website a useful resource
