Our partners at LNC Activities and Training are providing this British Canoeing (formerly British Canoe Union) Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course. This course aims to teach simple and safe skills that can provide the tools to problem solve simple common paddling scenarios in flat/sheltered water regardless of the craft. You will learn:

  • Skills which will enable you to ensure the safety of yourself and others
  • Appropriate rescue skills which can be used to help yourself and/or others in difficulty

On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a British Canoeing Foundation Safety and Rescue Training certificate. This is a qualification that is widely recognised. For more information on this course, click here

Members who are considering taking part at BBC Countryfile Live 2017 are strongly advised to sign up and attend this course, on any of the dates offered.

We need a minimum of 4 participants to run the course, and we can accommodate a maximum of 24 participants. This course is open to both members and non-members of The Coracle Society

The cost of this course is £5 for British Canoeing members, or £10 for non British Canoeing members - this covers the cost levied by British Canoeing for certification. We are grateful to LNC Activities and Training for providing this course to us for free.

Also available is the British Canoeing Level 1 Coaching Award - for information on this course, click here
